Mohini Bhardwaj – Owner, Gym Director and Women’s Team Coach

Mohini began gymnastics at the age of 5. She spent 10 years on the USA Women’s National Team. Mohini missed making the 1996 Olympic team by less than a tenth. She attended the 1997 World Championships then moved forward to college receiving a full gymnastics scholarship at UCLA. At UCLA she became an 11 time All American, and the only gymnast in PAC 10 history to win the All-Around twice in a row. She won a total of 4 NCAA Titles: 2000 Bars, 2001 Floor, 2000 & 2001 Team. In 2001 she graduated with a double major in History and Sociology. After college she went back to international competition, becoming the Team Captain of the 2001 World Championship Bronze Medalist Team. In 2004 she qualified to be a member of the US Women’s Olympic Team, was elected by her peers as Team Captain and aided them in bringing home a Silver medal. She is the first Indian American gymnast to ever medal in the Olympic Games. Mohini has been coaching gymnastics for 20 years and she recently achieved the highest judges rating in the US, US Brevet. Teaching gymnastics is her life, passion, and hobby. Mohini is also the proud mother of a 10 yr old son.

Karen Manley– Business Manager

Office Director: Karen has lived in Beautiful Bend Oregon for over 32 Years. She is a proud and blessed Mom to Evan & Lauren and Ryland. With 2 out of 3 kids in Gymnastics you might say she is a veteran meet spectator! Karen took over as Office Director after leaving the Bend Lapine School District in 2003. Passions include -Art, sunshine, good friends and the most fantastic children.

Julee Vadnais – Pre-School Director
Julee has been entertaining and teaching children for 14 years. She has over 8 years experience in dance and cheerleading.  She was a performer at Walt Disney World, has been a circus performer, is an accomplished aerialist and stunt performer and runs her own children’s entertainment company. She has a degree in performing arts from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and Antioch University in Los Angeles.

When Julee is not leading preschool gymnastics at OOA you can find her at her business, Whimsey Entertainment, where she specializes in face painting, balloon twisting and becoming Disney Princesses for children’s birthday parties.
